Happy 100th To The 19th

I’m one to celebrate just about anything like National Tomato Day or Sanitation Worker Appreciation Week. It’s a character trait to get caught up in the novelty of making a day unique.

However, today is more deserving of raising a toast and acknowledging. August 18th, 2020 marks the 100th anniversary of women’s suffrage. I know that monument is worth celebrating. And Goose Island just so happens to have the same mindset. Goose said in a tweet earlier today, “To honor this milestone and the anniversary of the Voting Rights Act, we're asking you to exercise your right and register to vote. We promise it'll take less time than drinking a beer”.

I believe Goose said it best; we are given a great right and it’s important to exercise it. We speak out daily on the internet and beyond, but some fail to let their voice be heard on a ballot. The Chicago brewery didn’t just chat about the importance of registering/voting but they also released Women of the House to commemorate the occasion. Women of the House is a guava pale ale and I’m dying to get my hands on it. https://twitter.com/GooseIs.../status/1295746580155441154... is a link to a tweet and video going into depth (in 58 seconds) of the brewing and inspiration behind the powerful beer. I recommend checking it out, scooping the beer (and sending me one) and registering to vote if you haven't already!
