I'm Clare Thomas Allen and the face of the alter ego that is American Blonde Ale, or ABA for short. I'm a 27 year old New Yorker, born and raised on the south shore of Long Island. I went off to Staten Island for five years to earn my undergrad and Masters, but now I'm calling Hell's Kitchen home.

I like to say I have a heart of gold and a liver of steel. I have a passion for the craft beer industry and the community around it. I love to learn about beer as well as the ideas/love behind its creation. I believe beer goes way beyond water, malt, hops, and yeast.

How did I get involved? I had a little crush on a bartender of a local craft tap room. Obviously, spent a lot of time there and the rest is history.
